Guy Gormley, aka Enchante opens his first solo show this Thursday. He is also playing at GETME! on November 20th.

‘We are pleased to present Guy Gormley’s first solo exhibition B u s h e s ( E D I T ). In this selection from his ongoing Bushes series Gormley singles out the great British bush. His confidence with the awkward and the mundane, lending his subjects an uncanny sense of significance, makes for a wry study of rural fringes. In the darkroom he often allows his images to take their own direction; rather than always striving for technical correctness he instead looks for a lightness of touch, which gives primacy to atmosphere and feeling.”

I haven’t heard any big new dancehall tunes since I’ve been here, the biggest riddims seem to be “Mad Collab” and the “Friendship” riddim, The “Jim Screechie” song by Spice and the new song with Gaza Slim and Vybz Kartel. I’m watching a Jamaican version of Cribs and Elephantman is on it, he puts tomato ketchup straight onto plain bread and eats it. disgusting. Vybz Kartel is rumoured to be going out with Busy Signal’s baby mother Chantelle, this is big news, I will keep you posted.
